Santa Countdown
A cheerful countdown to Christmas Eve, plus clear links to independent official Santa-tracking services when their seasonal coverage is available.
External services are operated independently; their seasonal timing and features may change.
What this countdown means
This page does not show Santa’s live location. NORAD Tracks Santa and Google Santa Tracker operate their own seasonal experiences. Check those services directly for current launch details, activities, and tracking information.
How to use the clock
On most days of the year, this page simply counts down to December 24. As Christmas Eve arrives, visit an official tracker for the experience it provides. Availability and features may change each season.
A small way to enjoy the wait
Set a reminder for Christmas Eve, gather the family, and decide together which service you want to visit. The countdown uses your local device time; the external trackers have their own schedules and privacy notices.
The timer uses the date and timezone on your device and updates in your browser. The countdown target is midnight at the start of December 24 in the target year. Your device clock must be set correctly for an accurate result.
